The Voice battle rounds began on Saturday night as members of each team went head-to-head to secure themselves a place in the knockout stage which begins in two weeks’ time.

Each coach had the chance to steal an act from another team and as I wrote earlier today, Paloma Faith and Boy George each chose three of their own acts and stole two singers to take through to The Voice knockouts.

Here’s a look at how Team Ricky and Team Will are shaping up after the weekend.

Team Will!

Will i am is lagging in The Voice betting markets on this year’s winning coach and is fourth favourite to mentor this year’s winner, yep FOURTH!

This surprises me as so many of those who auditioned were clearly eager to be a part of Team Will but he doesn’t have many of the favourite singers on his side, even after the first battle round.

Going through to the knockouts on Team Will are Faheem, Lydia Lucy and Charlie Blue.

Will stole one act on Saturday night from rival coach Paloma Faith and that’s Theo Llewellyn, who I thought performed fabulously in the battle round against Jordan Gray!

Team Ricky!

Go Ricky! Yes, he is my favourite to be The Voice 2016’s winning coach and that’s because he has Jolan on his team.

Jolan is third favourite to win The Voice 2016 and my early tip to win.

Ricky also chose Brooklyn Richards and Chloe Castro and he ‘stole’ Aliesha Lobuczek from Team Paloma.

Chloe is definitely a dark horse in this competition and I do think she is going to give the top two female’s Lydia Lucy and Cody Frost a run for their money!
