The first reality TV show of 2016 will be Celebrity Big Brother which starts on January 5 th.  So far there have been just two confirmed housemates and these are EastEnders actor John Partridge and BFF of Kim Kardashian, Jonathon Cheban.

As ever the usual d-lister’s names are being bandied about for CBB 2016, such as the dreadful Gemma Collins and American wrestler Hulk Hogan, to name but two. We can speculate all we like but I’m only really interested in the facts, not the fakes!

Channel 4’s winter sports celebrity competition The Jump will return to our screens some time in January. Apparently this year the contestants will all live together in a Big Brother style house but as yet we do not know who will be joining presenter Davina McColl on the third series of this nail-biting show.

Britain’s Got Talent will be back with us around Easter time. Simon Cowell will be crossing the pond to judge America’s Got Talent this year but that will not stop him being head judge on our UK version – phew!

X Factor WILL return for another year and ex-judge Louis Walsh is already lining up to be counted and allowed back into the fold once more.

Louis has said he will do I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2016 if he isn’t asked back to X Factor. I can almost see him rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of it!

2016 could well be the final year for X Factor UK. Earlier in 2015 it was thought this was the year the contract for the X Factor would be up for review but according to the Daily Star that’s set to happen in 2016.

This would fit well with ITV buying the rights to The Voice from the BBC all set to air in 2017.

Despite the usual moans and groans, X Factor is still one of ITV’s most-watched TV shows, although it could be a sign of the times that the X Factor 2015 winner’s single, Forever Young by Louisa Johnson, is the lowest selling X Factor winner’s single of all time.
