The Jump 2016 returns to Channel 4 on Sunday 31st January and Beth Tweddle is the early favourite to win the competition!

Ahead of Sunday’s launch night, Coral bookmaker report a flurry of bets on the Olympic gold medalist to be crowned champion and is the 4/1 favourite to beat off the stiff competition.

American actor Dean Cain, best known for playing Superman on TV is placed second in The Jump betting and is also the Top Male to win.

Beth Tweddle certainly has the upper hand heading into this competition and punters are convinced that she is this year’s winner judging by the avalanche of bets we have taken on her this week,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

Last year Joey Essex won The Jump and although he was placed at the top of the betting he was by no means the favourite to win right away.

It was rugby player Mike Tindall who was tipped to win The Jump 2015 but young Joey proved to be unbeatable!

This will be the third year of the winter sports competition and so far we haven’t had a female winner!

Usually the show is on every night but this time there will be much longer run as the celebrities are being given more time to recover and practice in-between events.

This has to be one of the most nail-biting TV competitions with a celebrity betting market so make sure you have a free online account opened with Coral before The Jump begins on Sunday!
